Be Kind Poem by Evelyn Post

Be Ye Kind, the Lord has said
Be ye kind, one to another
Neighbor to neighbor, brother to brother.
It seems such a simple thing to do,
And yet so few of us do follow through
Why the hate and jealousy and wrath,
Has Satan himself placed obstacles in our path?
This really does seem to be
Else why is our way so hard to see?
It really should be very clear,
That love and kindness are what's needed here.
