Be My Friend

I want to get close to you
To be your friend
To share your views
To fuse
Amuse
Not to confuse you
I want to use your energy
To hold your hands in mine
And feel our minds fold
As you mould me
For
Only you have the power
To move me
Let us remove the bolts of doubt
Touch my mouth
Feel my sweet peace.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
