Be With Me Poem by Eyo Justice Ellis

Be With Me

We started together,
We wrote together.

When we drank from a tap,
And when I was rich,
We had a gap-
I didn't breach.

Now, I'm richer,
I can't afford data.
I wish you mailed me messages,
Long and interesting, not flipping passages.

I wish you understood;
Hardship hasn't changed my mood.
To tag me in that I see;
Friendship's fertile, still on this Iroko tree.
