Beakfast At Fredrick St. Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Beakfast At Fredrick St.

Rating: 5.0

Our two nice
China cups

battered old teapot
plastic bottle of milk

a spray of freesia
setting the scene
with a flourish
all of its own.

Old photograph
fallen from old book

enacts that
morning yet again

breakfast
over

30 years
ago.

Still the same
delight.
