Beasts Of Destruction, Not Peace Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

History records their character,
These violent forces that negate
Our country's laws and sovereign power-
They seek to instill only Hate.

Radical, dishonest, and greedy
The past proves what they are.
Our dumb leaders tread foolishly
For 'peace roads' are just very far.

Never have these groups kept their word,
Never have they shown sincerity.
Bullets and weapons, all these accord
An evil people with blind ideology.

When men of folly and of ignorance
Enter into deals that trap our nation.
We fall prey to beasts who take the chance
To devour our land and bring us destruction.
