Beautiful Baltimore Is Ablaze Poem by Hebert Logerie

Beautiful Baltimore Is Ablaze

Things remain the same
This is a sad shame
This is a darned pity
Police brutality
As a response
More nonsense
More riots
Too many idiots
Are causing chaos
Unnecessary mayhems
Deaths, and pain; tears are flooding
The streets, there is too much suffering
Violence will not solve the problems
It solely exacerbates our ignorance
And exposes our intolerance
We all lose in the ring
There are no winners
Criminals and losers
Always use violence
To make a stance
Police brutality
In today’s society
Is a big headache for our brothers
And lovely sisters
Police officers need to respect themselves
So they can be respected by the elves
And by all good people of this country
Our beautiful Baltimore is ablaze
Tonight, let’s pray for better days
And better nights in this city
And everywhere in the universe
Let’s pray for Peace, and clean the mess
Let’s eradicate police brutality.
