Beautiful Girl Poem by Tammy Ashton

Beautiful Girl

Rating: 4.6

Beautiful girl why are you so cruel
Perfect white teeth covered by full glossed lips
lips that form the destructive insults
you fire at your victim like missiles
striking your target with accuracy and devastation

Beautiful girl why are you so cruel
Large clear perfectly lined eyes
intense, determined, searching the room
smiling as they find your victim
hiding, panting, wounded, praying for mercy

Beautiful girl why are you so cruel
Soft, healthy, flawless skin
skin that hides the blackness of your soul
bitterness, hatred, and jealousy
pulsing through your blood

Thank you Dr. Brahmin for taking the time to read my work. I do not see myself as Beautiful woman. The poem is actually, about a friend of mine and some very mean girls that tortured girls like me in high school.

Beautiful girl why are you so cruel Soft, healthy, flawless skin skin that hides the blackness of your soul bitterness, hatred, and jealousy pulsing through your blood, .. liked this stanza very much. your own appreciation of your beauty and at the same time the consciousness which make you ask yourself why are you so cruel. liked this poem very much and the sense of beauty which you describe. thank you. tony

True beauty resides within. When I was young I was laughing at this statement. Along the years, I have appreciated it more and more.

Read your poem more like an irony i.e. how can something so good be also bad. It creates a perspective situation and a divide between good and bad. By and large its a good piece.
