Beautiful We Are

Beautiful the night
but it does not compare
to the twinkle in your eyes
greater than the stars up high.

Beautiful your smile
it makes me warm inside
as I sit with you awhile
and stay here at your side

You know my love is true
it will be forevermore
my heart belongs to you
you're the one that I long for.

Beautiful the days
you show your heart to me
Beautiful the way
you set my spirit free

Beautiful the nights
I see your face in dreams
a cave so dark, you are the light
a diamond in coals you gleam

Beautiful we are, you and I together
it's written in the stars
that we could last forever.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
