Beauty. Poem by David Kiriga

Beauty.

Rating: 4.0

The smell of the flowers
As we walk along the shores of the river
As you linger by my side
Walking slowly as we watch the water flow

I can't help but thank God
For the beauty of nature
The sound of birds chirp
As monkeys swing from tree to tree
I thank God for the melodies of nature

Watching the sun go up
As we lie under a mango tree
The wind slowly blowing
I smile thanking God for natures' beauty

Looking by your side I can't help but notice
The calm on your face
The smile on your beautiful lips
All I can say is thank you Father
For the beauty of nature.

The best way of thank giving to God as nature is the personification of god's mercy and bounty as well as warning......

Even though I am not a believer in god, I do find this poem very beautiful and I understand that often the beauty in nature is so captivating that a creator is often alluded to.
