Beauty And The Beast Poem by Veronica Musica

Beauty And The Beast

What is beauty?
Who is the beast?

If appearances are all that matter,
the mirror on which I gaze upon will surely shatter.

The spoiled soul, a sinner, hence,
the beast with the god-like appearance.

The beautiful spirit, with a repulsive cover.
The deranged mind, a graceful lover.

If two such beings were to meet,
would they envy each other,
or despise one another?

Next time, when you look,
This time, really see.
Not everyone is what they appear to be.
