'Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder' Poem by Linda Winchell

'Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder'

Rating: 5.0

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I've heard this said by some.
Creams and tanning beds are the norm today
but the price we are paying is really dumb!

The brown color achieved isn't natural
you were not given it when you were born.
Your cells of colored skin rebel on some
in their canerous clusters which they form.

I take this story personally
it happened to me way back when.
While I laid in my coffin brightly lit with lights
in a hot, hard, sweaty tanning bed!
