Because Of Fear Poem by Robby Makasa

Because Of Fear

She seemed all intricate
Very unapproachable
But her smile had a whole different story
Each time she smiled and showed her beautiful teeth
Somehow, time froze as if to allow a better chance to see her shine
Each time I was near her, my heart would skip a beat or two
And when she sat in close proximity to me
I couldn't help but notice her amazing eyes
And by just staring at her
I was lost in thoughts
I wondered if I stood a chance
I had mixed feelings of happiness and depression
Coz a girl like her
Deserves that perfect guy
That guy that can always make her laugh
And make her feel like the only girl in the world
A guy whose shoulder she can lean on
Who is not pose to see her tears
And I wondered if I was that guy
I couldn't even say 'hi'
How would I be able to make her laugh
For I only felt nervous around her
Where would I get the courage to 'man up'?
And ask her the one question she probably heard the most
And was I to ask her and leave?
Or ask her and look at her facial expression?
Was I to witness her reactions?
All those questions in one brain
I felt really inferior to her
Just coz of beauty
Just coz I thought she was perfect
She was always happy
And I never did ask her
She just seemed so unblemished
And later on I discovered she liked me
After she had found her prince charming
I wanted somebody to hit me hard on my chest
To remind me that love hurts
