Beckoning Call To Love’s Ball Poem by Joseph Blitch

Beckoning Call To Love’s Ball

Sheltered much like sunlight by cloudy skies,
To genuine love I had never opened my eyes.
Afraid to open shaded windows of my heart.
Unwilling to ever give any relationship a start.

With my minds realm, I was happily at rest,
Somewhat content and completely blessed,
When I heard your hearts beckoning call,
Come, dance alone with me at love’s ball.

I was lifted up by you that all might see.
Could I all your expectations really be?
Introduce me to true love was my very cry,
Let me taste of life’s romance before I die.

To you I gladly opened my hearts shut gate.
In full view now was my souls entire estate.
Sharing with you all of my hearts true mind,
As our love together we did desire to bind.

Of old taught, only one woman for each man,
With this doctrine, might love eternally stand.
Becoming happier with each passing day,
In this bliss it is my desire to always stay.
