Bedtime Prayer Poem by VICTORIA HEIM

Bedtime Prayer

The young soldier looks in the
Wise doctor's eyes
Saying, ''Please don't let me die.''
Mothers, Fathers
Laying flowers upon
Graves of children
Shake their
Heads and cry
A child on knees
Praying, please God
Bring everybody home
No one should be alone
A GuardianAngel, Grace
Gently wipes the tears
From the little face
A Bedtime Prayer
shared by one small voice
Can bring healing Love
to those in despair
