Wow!
Beethoven shook the world
With just 4 notes
In his 5th
With fate knocking on every musical ear,
But Brahms upstaged his idol Beethoven with his 4th
With 2 notes ascending and 2 descending
Unlocking fate's yearning for a home.
This book of challenge sealed shut for good,
Till you showed up last night
In Orchestra Hall unannounced.
You dared my heat's music with your beat
And that perfect tone from your voice
Defying Bach's G-minor magnificent fugue.
How can I step on the podium of music?
With no musical training, or a baton and firm legs,
And conduct love's orchestra to woo your heart to mine
Wow!
If I have God's powers to control and execute
I will reinvent Wagner's leitmotif, all over again,
And have a new Tristan Chord named after you.
Wow!
All past operatic heroines such as
Bellini's Norma, Bizet' Carmen, Verdi's Aida,
Gounod's Marguerite, Puccini's Mimi and Tosca
Strauss's Salome, Berg' Lulu
And all the other heroines in opera,
Cement my memory of you!
Wow!
