Why does it seem like we drifting apart?
I say one thing and I get a completely different reaction from you!
Am puzzled!
Have we arrived at the dreaded crossroads?
You know … where everything seems to be pointing south!
Where loved ones, give hugs and kiss good-bye?

Last week I asked you, “Can you please, fix me dinner? ”
And your response was, “Go get your own damn dinner! ”
Yesterday I asked, “Can you please give me a ride to work? ”
And your response was, “Go get your own damn car! ”
Today I simply asked, “What time is it? ”
And you replied, “Go get your own damn watch! ”

Darnit, am tired
I will lyrically jab you
But your tongue goes faster than Usain Bolt
And that’s it
I’ll just hope things get better and you start loving me
Start appreciating me

I have loved you from the beginning, and you know that
And I still believe we are connected…
Not just by love
But also by sin
Fatal attraction is a sin
And we share that in abundance for each other

Sometimes, I wonder, am I attracted to your love or your drama?
Does drama have an inherent appeal?
That makes it seductive
We both love drama it seems like
And we both feed into it

The problem with us is us
We constantly changing definitions
Weaving in and out, of what love means
Creating different boundaries of love
And hurting love in the process

Love is not greedy
Love is a lot of things
And when we start being greedy etc
Then we start changing the definition and meaning of love
And this has really hurt us

I hope we can return to loving ways
And let peace rule our lives
This chaos is not healthy
Neither is the bickering and finger pointing
I love you and we need to talk to each other in the language we understand
