Before You Go To Sleep Poem by Antonio Russo

Before You Go To Sleep

Before you go to sleep
turn around and push your face on the pillow
do it untill the dark become the video of your memories.
feel the warm breath as i was close to you,
holding your hands under the covers.

Befor you go to sleep
play with your hair as i used to do,
think about me to wish a dream,
try to measure how deep is this love
and again feel my hands caressing your breast.

Before you go to sleep
don't forget to get a sip of water
cause tomorrow when you'll wake up from this dream
you'll taste the sawer again
and i won't be there to hold you in my arms.

Before you go to sleep
leave a little lamp on,
the dark will be a bit less cold
try to hug yourself in the same way i use to do it
in the same way i would do it.

Before you go to sleep
hold your covers to your neck
take care of yourself as i used to do
hold tight to that picture of us
and never let it go.

Before i go to sleep
i'm afraid i won't see you again
i recharge my hopes in my dreams
i keep on thinking i will see you again
because if i won't see you again means i'm dead.
