Behind Blue Eyes Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Behind Blue Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Behind blue eyes I hide my bane and woe,
Behind blue eyes I do too much sustain,
And wonder whether I should stay or go:
'Cause after all I can't in love remain.
Behind blue eyes I hate myself so dear:
For breaking countless hearts, including mine;
Behind blue eyes I have one silent tear:
For whom I were but meant to with entwine.
I seem to linger still behind blue eyes,
I know I have to leave, it's just too hard;
With all those many failed attempts and lies:
It's better if I but rebuilt my guard.
It sadly seems my try to hang just through:
Have failed, or else my eyes would not be blue!

At 21 you surely have a great start in the poetry realm.You seem to be into sonnets and do them so well. This is another great one. With thoughtful imagery you enhance your poetry-good, very good
