Behind The Smile Poem by Crepino Zembere

Behind The Smile

Behind the smile, lies my pain
Behind that smile, my bliss reign
I cut off every little string
I let my smile fall weak
Just to gain what I seek
Because my cute little smile
Is merely a façade
The real me hide behind scenes

Nobody could see the pain I was feeling
For I designed my mask to laughing
Behind all the smiles there were tears
Behind all the relief there were fears
Behind my smile there is an aching heart
Behind my laugh am falling apart
Deep inside me lies a little child
But outside, am just care free

Behind the smile is not what you seem
Behind my smile is the girl I dream
Behind that smile surely lies my hope
But even through the darkest of time
I still smile and laugh out loud
Hiding my pain and tears to the crowd
Look closely at me and you shall see
The one I really I am isn't me
I always enjoy life as it ought to be
