Behind These Walls Poem by Colin Coplin

Behind These Walls

Rating: 4.5

If the universe should shrink up and die
I, would, still hold on to you
Not through fear, or pain, or hope
But because, I love you

If my eyes that I trust went blind
Then all I'd ever want to see
Is the look, I'll hold, eternally
Of your face as is smiled, on me

'cause girl, you mean more to me than warmth
You are the cente of my life and thoughts
Heaven stands between you and earth
And while I live, I need no more
Than your love, behind these walls

As we made love, it occurred to me
All time's a measure, of our heartbeat
A moment stolen from eternity
A moment, captured forever more
Fold back time, behind these walls
Yes, while I live, I need no more
Then your love, behind these walls

If the universe should shrink up and die
I, would, still hold on to you
Not through fear, or pain, or hope
But because, I love you
