Being Happy Together Poem by Paul Sebastian

Being Happy Together

Made mistakes in my past
Chaotic youth got me fast
Lessons after lessons I learned
My old ways I have dumped

I returned like a prodigal son
Forgiven, the past I shunned
Love embraced, love restored
Once again my life’s renewed

See me not for what I was
See me now in my newness
Judge me not recalling my past
Bury ugly past, hold dream fast

What matters is where we are
Dream, together we’d carry far
Love will weather life’s storms
Happy we’d be, loving strong

Let’s accept one another
Affirm to grow each other
Appreciate, gift of ourselves
Be accountable for happiness

Change is the spice of life and a positive, prosperous change respects the change from negative to positive. Loved reading and commenting on the poem
