Being Here Poem by Ray Hansell

Being Here

Instead of being here
I wish I were there
Right next to you
Showing you how much I care

Instead of being alone
I wish we were together
Knowing that as the night wears on
Things will only get better

I wish I were holding you
Instead of holding a dream
Reality is so much better
We both know what I mean

I wish I were loving you
It's what we once did best
But I guess it doesn't matter
Issues were never addressed
