I used to dream with my eyes wide open
I used to believe I could hear ur thoughts unspoken
I used to think anything I wanted was achievable
I used to believe my inner peace was intangible
I have learned I can decide what I´m gonna end up to be
Weak, strong, sad or happy
I can choose whether to suffer or not
My life used to be just fine before all this stuff
I now got
I used to close my eyes and fall beautifully asleep
I used to believe that anything I wanted I could be
I used to think strangers will do u no harm
I used to believe noone would ever break my heart
I have learned that people betray u
Specially when they feel trapped, powerless
Lost, confused and can´t figure out what to do
I can choose whether to let them hurt me or not
My life depends on me and the inner light I got
I believe.
