Belong To Someone Else Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Belong To Someone Else

Can you remember the times we've spent together
Sharin' the days I thought forever we'd last
But soon discovered a friend and my whole world shattered
After all the romancing am I glad I didn't move into this fast
Were you aware of how much I loved you, baby?
You were the one who filled my heart with joy
Ooh, What am I to do when I'm so hooked on you
Than I start to realize you belong to someone else
That day in april, I know you remember
When your arms were wrapped tightly around another
I think back and not to long ago was I in that position
Which the whole situation influeneced my decision
I have got to get you out of my head as if you'd ever be mine
You've got to stop this madness instead you seem blind
Oh, What am I to do when I'm so hooked on you
Than I start to realize you belong to someone else
Although I hold onto you in memory I had To Physically let you go
Without telling you something you didn't need to know
The other involved needs you and I won't cross that line
But, If you ever knew or if not, I did want you as mine
Until the day the dream died
