Beloved Artist Poem by Martine Kolber

Beloved Artist

Rating: 5.0

If I could see behind your smile,
Would I see the broken soul inside
And stay there with you for a while,
Or would that hurt your pride.
To see that someone cares for you,
To feel that someone wants to be near
You, though you don’t think it can be true
And stay hidden inside of your walls of fear.

The entire world is in love with you
And cherishes the beauty you create,
But would you repeat it all if you knew
The end that follows this debate
And what came out of the way you chose,
The way that lead you on to me
To where the broken soul inside me rose
To be the one you did already see,

When near that old young brook
We were sitting, filled by the sounds
Of our illusions in the sea, caught by the hook
We sent out on his own to bounce
And dance on the water’s surface so proud.
Everything was full of life on that day
Even the reflection of the wandering cloud
Which made you laugh, still we could not stay.

When reading this poet's work, I really feel great pennant.. we never miss this deep debut of emotions filled with a new rhythm When near that old young brook We were sitting, filled by the sounds Of our illusions in the sea, caught by the hook We sent out on his own to bounce And dance on the water’s surface so proud.
