Beside Still Water
Beside still water ~ my soul did rest
upon the wind of peace ~
that blew away life's troubled thoughts
to grant my heart's release.
No ripples marred that mirrored glow,
reflection shining strong ~
and as I stared beneath I saw
a world of right, not wrong.
Reflection of a life so pure ~
Love glowed with sweet delight.
Angels bending to the earth
spreading joy in wingful flight.
A sharing of life's burdens,
man to man ~ they share it all.
No one lost in troubled times ~
a hand to those who fall.
Children filled with laughter,
their hearts beat an endless sigh.
Souls alive with living
in a world where hopes ~ they fly
No wars to sate death's reaper,
only peace through every land.
Hearts spanning every nation ~
friendship sown by seeds of man.
In awe, my heart is soaring,
as reflection melts away.
Beneath still waters glowing,
on my knees I fall to pray.
Beside still water ~ my soul did rest.
Sweet vision found its way
to share the joy of peace and love ~
when heaven came to earth that day.
