Besotted Poem by Alc Harris

Besotted

Rating: 5.0

You promised you would be my love
Now to eternity
You kissed my hand as we wander along
Etched you heart with loves sweet song

You swore to me you’d love my soul
However it may change
Stroked my hair as we lay entwined
No truer love could I hope to find

You vowed that you would prove your love
As on this sea we drift
No wave would us break in two
No harm our love would come to

What magic deceived this besotted fool
To think that I could captivate you
Your promises whispers in your heart
A light that fades in the dark

Enchanted entrusted my love to you
A wayward soul somehow I knew
Your words would still echo in the air
Whenever I glance
That loving stare…….
