I thought that this christmas would be lonely and blue.
Thought my heart would never give me something true.
I always asked my mind the recurring question, who?
I thought that I would pretend to smile and let christmas go on through.

I never once had a clue to what was going to hit me.
I didn't know that on this day I would find the key.
I never knew that I would be finding thee.

I've always prayed for someone like you.
For someone to feel my heart no matter how it beats,
And for once in my life I feel like I can have somebody to hold.
To share, to talk to on christmas,
And when I talk to you this is what I'm going to say.

I'm going to take you and make you a part of my life,
Because you are the best christmas gift I've ever received.
All I have to do is look at your face, look in your eyes,
And I see everything that my life could be.
I know that I won't let you go without a fight,
Because you are the best christmas gift I'll ever recieve.
