Bestfriend; Soldier Poem by Talisa Dee Whitmore

Bestfriend; Soldier

You can take their time,
but please don't take their lives.
Help in their journey of Self-discovery,
but please don't tear apart their families.
You can teach them honor and pride,
but I beg please don't take another life.
Off to you my bestfriend goes,
to follow along his own road.
I'm sitting here and begging please,
from this Earth don't let hin leave.
In a coffin he doesn't yet belong,
so his life I'm pleading you to prolong.
Dear Army,
please send my soldier safe and sound back to me.
