Beth

Beth when I knew you
I gave you all my love
but Beth when I knew you
love wasn't what I was made of

These words are to say I'm sorry
after all these years
but Beth I know I helped you
I made you laugh
I took away your tears

And just, just for a while
for a moment we danced
and as we danced you were a child
so free in my dreamers romance

My love was in my dreams
I really wasn't there
but Beth oh Beth my darling
I really always cared

Well Beth I'm still a dreamer
but today I'm also real
If I could only find you
I wonder what would you feel

Beth if you ever think of me
would you ever think of coming back
Beth once I knew you
and I'll always cherish that.
