Betrayal
They say it’s in the name of democracy
But they kill for oil and greed
They took us to war on lies and misinformation
How could our leaders betray this great nation
They preach morality and sin
Only for us to find out where they’ve actually been
Corruption and scandal appear in the headlines each day
Slowly robbing us of our American way
They say they can keep us safe from terrorists
But really, can we ever trust them again?
