Betrayed Poem by Kai Ford

Betrayed

Betrayed me with a kiss like Judas
You..knowingly formed lips that puckered
Lies and selfish deceit
Seeking to only please your heart and wandering eyes

Your kiss tastes bitter
Not sweet as you claimed
The touch has grown cold and distant though you remind me all is well
Reassuring your lady that my heart is safe in your hands
And that you have planned a series of months that will fortify the love we've begun to rebuild
The love w/all my reluctancy, you swore would be different this time around.

I release the clutch and open my arms
To realize, you are no longer there by my side
The thing I feared the most has come upon me like Job
All the reassuring for this lonely night of wondering
When YOUR wandering heart is happily in NJ w/possibly a new one or an old one knowing you

Puzzled clumps of the past and present surround me
All that's left from you is a sad sad mess you've left behind
You happily became a stereotype of an unfit misfit
History unmistakably has repeated itself
And so did you...
with that sour kiss you Judas!
