Better World Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Better World

Science has become corporate with no good and evil...ethics is mammon not morals....right now 1 out of 4 has aids in Africa in many places and TB is back with loss of potency to treat because the drugs have been beat by viruses and bacteria evolving so quickly. Pfizer and other drug companies no longer spend major research dollars on new strains because they are so consumer driven with drugs for lowering cholesterol etc. It takes billions of dollars to come up with cures on the cutting edge of what’s going on in Africa where so many people’s immune systems are shot. They use 20-year-old serums and technology because major drug companies won't develop new cures because it isn't worth it financially. The door swings between the government and corporations in agriculture, FDA, EPA etc. Some CEO from Cargill goes into high agricultural government jobs. The pharmaceutical industries are the same so the lines blur constantly between corporations and government. The doctors and pharmaceutical companies constantly hand out penicillin like cures until so many immune systems across the world quit reacting as the viruses and bacterium evolve above the status quo. The voices to stop this madness become less and less with more cable, piped in porno, anti depressants and orgie porgie life styles....it's a mess....who suffers, the poor and the lumpen proletariat, Africa and underdeveloped countries.....all these major companies like Pfizer do nothing to really help this sick evil situation and evangelical Christianity is voiceless and so under the republican party... half of them can't even read, unless it is Glen Beck or some other fake, let alone think and they won't even admit global warming...I feel sorry for the world...We are on a little island called the west but the storm is coming our way too and soon. The new DFL (Democratic Farts and Laughs) is just as much in bed with the major corporations as anyone else. Farms are huge corporate conglomerates and labor mostly forsaken for banks and Wall Street.
