Between Two Spires

There's a spire that stands
as a sentinel.
It guides us every day.
Within the home with love and faith
It points the tested way. Under the spire there's experience
to save us a little time.
With just a little hope and trust
Success can soon be mine. On a hill far away looms another spire.
It gleams and glistens to one and all
True lessons to inspire. Between two spires we wander forth.
Who knows what looms ahead?
With all the shadows round about
There's no need for us to dread.

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
