Between Us
Hello, goodbye
These are the words you say to me
I wanted to say hello too
But I wanted to say so long as well
A twisted fate in time
Led us to meet
Except that everything
Seemed to tear us apart
All the time can make us strong
All the time can make us weak
And everything can find a way to kill us
But nothing can heal us
Today, forever, is just another day
A day to die, a day to live
You walk away from me
And I still ponder and wonder
All the time can make us strong
All the time can make us weak
And everything can find a way to kill us
But nothing can heal us
You don't trust me
And even though I tried not to
I still forgave you
But can you find it in you
To forgive me too
And in this window I look back in
I can see, through the blackened thorns
The life we used to lead
The life we both knows is a lie
But who are we to admit it
We've dug this hole too deep
All the time can make us strong
All the time can make us weak
And everything can find a way to kill us
But nothing can heal us
