Beyond Pride Poem by Ananya Srivastava

Beyond Pride

When certain complexities burn your pride,
Stay blessed my friend, for it's an incessant ride.
Rising, growing, untwining like a leaf,
One's that seldom tries to find relief.

Where trust grows in disheartening grief,
Ascension of regrets fathom a belief.
Where thy contentment has steadily combust,
The conceit in you stands tough, robust.

The figments of your ambiguous dreams,
Trying hard to conceal a catastrophe, extreme.
The unreal, virtual, gnawing deal,
Endeavouring much to conceive an appeal.

Ananya.
