Big Black Dog Poem by Carlos Daniel Neves

Big Black Dog

he comes slow and he won't let go
it lasts all night
it may be wrong but i'm not that strong
drowning in fright
in case you don't know he has been there for quite some time

he's big in size and he likes the dark
he rules the world
look at his eyes they're like a piece of art
could steal your soul
is he alive or has it all just passed on my mind

you run in fear and he won't forgive
his rage awakened
but if you stare he will disapear
what has he taken
don't try to folow you will not be pleased with what you'll find
the end of your life and beggining of eternal blindness

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My sister belives in EVERYTHING that's surpernatural, it's almost sickening. And so one day, when she was on vacation with her boyfriend she saw, while taking a walk at night, a huge black dog at a fair distance from them. They thought it was a bad idea to run away so they continued ahead when, at least this is what I was told, the dog vanished behind a tree. When they went to investigate(because they had to go investigate) they found no dog nor did they find anywhere for it to go to. Immediately my sister started to ramble on how she had seen a hell hound and how that was an ancient sign of wreckoning.
Of course my first action when she told me her story was to make fun of her, that was my duty as her younger brother, but later on, while thinking of how she so deeply believed in her story, I ended up playing a really juicy jam on my guitar, wich later on evolved to this. Hope you enjoy.
