Big Piece Of Chicken Poem by Leonard McGee

Big Piece Of Chicken

I AM THE MAN,
WOMAN DID YOU HEAR ME,
I SAID THAT
I AM THE MAN
Do you understand what that means,
Do I have to teach you
That I am the King of this Castle,
That I have the last word,
That I always get the
Big Piece of Chicken

I am not just a man,
I am the man of Your Dreams,
From this point forward in your
eyes no man will be worthy of
standing in my shadow.
As far as you are concern
the sun does not rise until I awake
Do I make myself CLEAR

I AM THE MAN
Because of that I get to
take on the responsibilities
of caring for my Woman
Maintaining her trust, and respect,
all while living up to
her standards, and expectations
I get to earn her love, and admiration,
and struggle to be the Man everyday
because her heart and soul
is all I live for.

I AM THE MAN
But I am nothing without
MY WOMAN
She is the fuel for my fire,
my shelter from the storm,
and the Queen of my existence
I am merely a servant to the one
that allows the sun to shine on me
the one who shallows her pride
to allow me the last word
The one that always gives me
the Big Piece of Chicken.
