Billo And Lucinda Poem by Francis Duggan

Billo And Lucinda

Billo in his early fifties does his own things in life
Whilst he is in the pub drinking Lucinda his wife
Is out with her lover having a good time
Enjoying the good life two decades past her prime.

Their open marriage allows for affairs of the heart
Faithful till death in their lives does not play a part
She is out with her lover and doing her own thing
And Billo in the pub with his boozing mates sing.

They still love each other and he is her soul mate
And they still sleep together and they still copulate
And they both find pleasure on their bit on the side
And secrets from each other they do not need to hide.

By many they are looked on as a strange pair
For sex on the side by them both seen as fair
Yet between them there's love and there is harmony
And of any hangups they are totally free.
