Birdsong Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Birdsong

Rating: 5.0

In your love,
I spoke child-like prayers
And felt protected.

On your heart softly
I slept in tender dreams
And collected your kisses
Like rose petals and wishes.

From your reassuring voice,
I heard birdsong
And was happy.

A delightful poem Uriah. Lovely to read. I notice it is written in the past tense, that makes me sad! Love Ernestine XXX

You are right - powerful love is like that...beeing innocent and fragile and great and small -a poem that has escaped from the nest...painfully beautiful..Pia

If you're not well-loved, you should be and shall be - wait for it. Romance lives on in my friend, Uriah...

I suspect this was written by someone well loved. The images of petals and birdsong always stir the heart. A gentle poem. love, Alison xxxxxxxxx
