Birthday Wish! Poem by Dark Vix

The moon is a loyal companion to the planet earth,
It never leaves. It's always there, watching, steadfast,
Knowing us in our light and dark moments,
Changing forever but a necessary component,

Sometimes weak and wan,
Sometimes strong and bright,
That it showers the earth with its glowing light.

The moon understands what it means to be human,
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfection,
When it is not reflecting the sun's lumen,
It is proven that there is a strong connection,

To a blue planet that is humble and down-to-earth,
Shying away 50000 km every month.
Tonight is the night of supermoon,
Once every 18 years does it bloom,

Basically, you are the moon and I am the Earth,
Even though our friendship has grown apart.
You have always been my friend from the very start,
