Birthright Poem by Frank Sheehan

Birthright

Rating: 5.0

The enormity of the situation
clouded my perspective
resulting in a sense
of imposed delirium

Just the thought
made me ecstatic
when I realized
realities truthfulness

Never on the day of it's inception
in my wildest imagination
could I have fathomed
what the future beheld

A pleasant surprise - -
compensation with unlimited perks,
the complete package,
the afterglow of serenity.

Tempered by stratospheric utopia
within the confines
constructing everyday tristesse
encouraging delight

Beckoning within the realm
illustrating the grandiosity,
dreams can come true.

Fantastic imagery about the future prospects of a promising relationship showing 'compensation with unlimited perks.... dreams can come true'. Thanks for sharing, Frank.
