Bitter Confession Poem by Paul Elenora

Bitter Confession

Rating: 3.5

I a mere passerby
Gliding through neither hills nor vales
Walking through the minds alley
Roaming through a future anticipated
One that only can be seen through hope's eye
The source of the light inside my eyes

The rumours and news
Of birth and death
In dismay many lay
In array others bay

My mind wanders
Down to deaths part unknown
How will mine fortune be
Death of old age
Or death from hanging?
Beheaded or burnt

Sizzling breath and gasp
As my imagination
Becomes fluttered in
Bewilderment
Its hard but a truth that must be faced
Its not for I to know
But my greatest wish will be to die
A natural death.
