Bitter End Poem by Alesia Leach

Bitter End

I'm drifting on white winds of winter
with tears that are cold and bitter.

My pain is deep
and I'm losing sleep,

but you let me slip away
the day you decided to stray.

You've left me jaded from your broken promises,
I'm full of wasted tears and compromises.

Now I'm unanchored in a storm
without your arms to keep me warm.

Our last kiss, did you feel my pain?
Did my suffering keep you entertained?

Our love extinguished like a flame in the wind
and our romance has come to its bitter end.

Hi Alesia, this is deep, I enjoyed every line. The flow is perfect, ... I like the alliteration on the first line.

Our love extinguished like a flame in the wind and our romance has come to its bitter end........of course, love sometimes comes to end with a bitter feeling incase of lacking togetherness. A beautiful poem nicely depicted. Thanks for sharing.....10

It is so true that love can hurt! If there is no possibility of a coming back together once again, learn to forget the past and wait for a new dawn! Initially the memories may be haunting, but time can heal every wound! Allow time to heal your hurt! An emotive write, Alesia!
