Bitter Sweet Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Bitter Sweet

Help me! I'm dealing with you.
You're black then white, sweet then sour,
Soft then hard, round then square.
You're bitter sweet hour by hour.

Help me! You're ripping me apart.
I can't deal with your mood swings.
They pierce me like a dart.
They make my blood spill fast.

I never knew anyone,
Like you.
I approached you slowly,
And then carefully.

Then you set me up, bitter sweet,
My eyes painfully, your eyes did meet.
Since then I kept a hurting.
You made it amply clear.

That I should leave you.
