Bitter Sweet Poem by Maru Moro

Bitter Sweet

I could sugar coat these words; create chocolate lyrics threaded with 'love'
The drug more addictive than opium; 'one everyone craves'
A wolf in sheeps clothing staring straight at you.

It gives you a high; a smile spreads across the foxes face as you dance together
Your heart flutters in the heat, endorphines dispirse and synapses break
As rusty red velvet runs down later on.

Once you wake and look down; a barrier broken and thoughts askew
A radio flickers on and the lyrics pour in again;
You rather drink from society's sink rather than your own.
