Bitter Sweet Apathy Poem by MarieLove Brevil

Bitter Sweet Apathy

To you I would bring the twelve gifts
Of Christmas at anytime
For me it’s like there’s only one year,
One month, one week, one second.
Just one moment in time for me and you
I wanted to enjoy every time
Every moment I get with you
I wanted to enjoy every moment
As if it were the first and last time
If you shouldn’t be around
Every breathe I take, every time
I inhale, it’s you I smell
I couldn’t bear the absence of you
Then seeing the ways you acted with me
The feelings you cut from me
Allow me to bear your absence
With such an ease, less pain
And ready for a new beginning.
