Bitter Tears Poem by Dustin Lee

Bitter Tears

Bitter Tears fill my eyes,
as I slide the blade across my wrist,
remembering years of pain and lies,
and now it ends like this,
memories run through my mind,
of all the things that I will miss,
crying so hard my sight is blind,
I give the blade another twist,
severed veins lie deep inside,
of my open, bleeding wrist,
I did my best, I know I tried,
but I can't go on like this,
I fall to the floor, lay on my side,
the blood is draining quick,
feeling numb and paralyzed,
the blood is running thick,
I know that I had not denied,
the fact that I was sick,
I wish that I could say goodbye,
as I feel the seconds tick,
see the world, look through my eyes,
and it all just seems a trick,
the only good thing in my life,
and I just let you slip......
