Bitterness Poem by Joy Davis

Bitterness

Rating: 4.0

Bitterness surrounds her heart
so much affliction and being torn apart
Weeping she is betrayed and alone
she finds no resting place to call home

In the midst of her distress and pain
all the grief is leaving a dark stain
Every door is desolate and she mourns
she becomes a captive broken and torn

There is no joy only sadness
nothing to remember or to miss
For every day of pain and affliction
has left her heart full of sickness and rejection

Clear this dead path
of mine that is so dark
Unite from the underworld's wrath
for its leaving a piercing gray mark

Show me the path of righteousness
as my heart is slowly dying
Show me that beautiful love I miss
for I am tired of trying
