Bittersweet Memories Poem by Barry Jablonski

Bittersweet Memories

Memories can taste so bittersweet
When viewed as a public tweet
Memories replayed from long ago
Will always find somewhere to go

Memories can taste so bittersweet
When they surface to compete
They can guide us in so many ways
Like highlights of our younger days

Memories can taste so bittersweet
When they practice their deceit
The lies we all thought were true
Say to us now, ”shame on you”

Memories can taste so bittersweet
When traveling on that lonely street
A lifetime of memories I wish to share
And many I don’t, will end up there
